First Zone Conferences - July 2013

After our first group of missionaries left to go home, we began Zone Conferences and finished all of them within ten days.  One of the things we taught was the new way of teaching with the pamphlets that we were taught by the proselyting division of the Missionary Dept.  We did LOTS of practicing. Our assistants also taught something called the "Three Combo Punch" (a group of three scriptures) that was started by a former missionary as a way to help investigators who have objections understand why and how to keep the Sabbath Day holy and why it's important to attend Sacrament Meeting.  Since then many of our missionaries are using it with great success.

Después de que el primer grupo se fue, empezamos las Conferencias de Zona y las terminamos dentro de diez días.  Una de las cosas que enseñamos fue la nueva manera de enseñar con los folletos que nos enseñaron a nosotros el Departamento Misional. Los misioneros practicaron mucho.  También los asistentes enseñaron algo que se llama el "Three Combo Punch" que un misionero desarrolló (tres versículos de las escrituras) para poder ayudar a los investigadores el porque y como debemos guardar el día de reposo y porque es importante asistir a la reunión sacramental.  Desde entonces muchos de nuestros misioneros lo han usado con mucho éxito.

First Farewell Dinner - July 14, 2013

Here is our first farewell dinner with our first missionaries to leave the Guayaquil West Mission:  Elder Warner, Elder López, and Elder Gassmann.  We were sad to see them leave!
