There are so many things I haven't I haven't had time to put up on the blog and I hope to
add some posts this month from things that have happened during the past
year. This blog is for the parents of our missionaries, but it is also
for the mission history. Our mission historians (young elders) use this
blog to put together the mission history that is sent to the church
history department at the end of the year. So I hope to add some things
in my little bit of spare time that I haven't put up during the year.
We get a new group of missionaries next week, so hopefully I can get
some things posted before I need to write again about missionaries
coming and going!
For quite some time I haven't put up
the pictures that we take at our mission leadership councils. Here is
our council from this week. We took them to the temple before beginning our meeting. We have wonderful, wonderful mission
leaders -- zone leaders, sister training leaders, assistants, and
district leaders. For some of the council meetings, Pres. Dennis has
invited a number of district leaders who may later become zone leaders,
but in others they don't attend. Our office secretaries are always there
and we couldn't do it without them. They take care of making sure the
building is ready, everything is set up, and that the lunch is set up
and cleaned up. Then they clean and arrange everything afterwards and
take everything back. Our secretaries are awesome!! Most of the
meetings include training given by the missionary leaders themselves.
They are wonderful teachers and trainers! We are amazed at how good
they are and how well they train. They are going to be very inspired
future leaders of the Church! I will add pictures of past leadership
councils later on.
Hay muchas cosas que no he tenido tiempo de poner en el blog y espero poder agregar algunas cosas este mes de las cosas que pasaron el año pasado. Este blog es para los padres de nuestros misioneros, pero también es para la historia de la misión. Nuestros secretarios de registros (élderes jóvenes) usan este blog para organizar la historia de la misión para mandarla al departamento de la historia de la Iglesia al fin de año. Así es espero agregar algunas cosas mas en el poco tiempo disponible que tengo que no he puesto aquí durante el año. Llega un nuevo grupo de misioneros esta semana, asi es que espero poner algunas cosas mas antes de escribir otra vez de los misioneros que llegan y salen.
Por algun tiempo no he puesto las fotos que tomamos en los consejos de líderes. Aquí están algunas de nuestro consejo esta semana. Tenemos muy, muy buenos líderes en la misión -- líderes de zona, hermanas líderes, asistentes, y líderes de distrito. Para algunos de los consejos, Presidente Dennis invita a algunos líderes de distrito que podrían ser líderes de zona en el futuro, pero para otros consejos no asisten. Nuestros secretarios siempre están allí. No podríamos llevar a cabo ninguna reunión sin su ayuda! Ellos preparan todo, asegurando que el edificio está listo, todas las sillas arregladas, que el almuerzo llega y que todo queda limpio después. Después de la reunión, limpian todo y llevan de regreso todo a la oficina. Nuestros secretarios son maravillosos!!! En la mayoría de los consejos de líderes, incluye capacitación por los líderes mismos. Siempre estamos asombrados que tan buenos maestros y entrenadores son! Van a ser excelentes futuros líderes de la Iglesia! Voy a agregar fotos de consejos de meses pasados mas adelante.
