FAREWELL TO ANOTHER GROUP OF WONDERFUL MISSIONARIES!! ADIOS A OTRO GRUPO DE MISIONEROS MARAVILLOSOS!!

This week we said good-bye to nine of our wonderful missionaries--four sisters and five elders.  One of our sisters had to leave a few days early because her father died, but she was able to attend the sisters conference in the morning and say good-bye to everyone there. We had our farewell dinner and testimony meeting Monday evening and they left at different times over the next two days. It's so hard to say good-bye to our missionaries. We've been with them for the past 15 months and we are really going to miss them. We love you, Elders and Sisters!!  Remember who you are!

Esta semana nos despedimos de nueve de nuestros maravillosos misioneros--cuatro hermanas y cinco élderes. Una de nuestras hermanas tuvo que regresar a casa unos dias antes porque se murió su papá, pero pudo asistir la conferencia de hermanas durante la mañana y pude despedirse de todas. Tuvimos nuestra cena de despedida y reunión de testimonios el lunes en la tarde y se fueron en diferentes horas a través de los dos siguientes dias. Es tan difícil decir adios a nuestros misioneros. Hemos estado con ellos los últimos 15 meses y vamos a extrañarles mucho. Les queremos mucho, Elders y Hermanas!! Recuerden quienes son!

IT HAS BEEN A BUSY, BUSY SIX WEEKS!! HA SIDO SEIS SEMANAS MUY, MUY OCUPADOS!!

I'm sorry I haven't posted anything in over a month!  The past six weeks have been extremely busy with zone conferences, a sisters conference, two leadership councils, a mission nurse's conference, speaking at a YSA fireside, ward conference with our mission branch, holding a stake training for ward councils, and speaking in two stake conferences, not to mention preparing for our daughter's sixteenth birthday party with her 10th grade class of 13 kids, and getting things ready for nine missionaries leaving and fifteen new elders coming (in four different groups!).  That's in addition to all the normal daily busyness of mission and family life.  It's been an extremely busy six weeks and will continue to be so until the end of the year (and probably until the very end of our mission:). I will get pictures put up of the conferences and all the rest, but first I need to put up pictures of our missionaries that have left and arrived this week so their parents can see them.

Lo siento por no poner nada en el blog por más de un mes!  Los úlitmos seis semanas han sido muy, muy ocupados con conferencias de zona, conferencia de hermanas, dos consejos de líderes, discursos en una charla fogonera JAS, conferencia de barrio con la rama de la misión, llevando a cabo
una capacitación de estaca para los consejos de barrio, conferencia de enfermeras de la misión, discursos en dos conferencias de estaca, preparando una fiesta para el 16 cumpleaños de nuestra hija con sus 13 compañeros de clase, y preparando todo para los 9 misioneros que regresaron y los 15 misioneros que llegaron esta semana (en cuatro diferentes grupos!)  Todo eso es además de todo lo que hay que hacer diariamente en la vida misional y de familia. Han sido seis semanas sumamente ocupados y va a continuar asi hasta el fin del año (y probablemente hasta el fin de nustra misión:) Pondré fotos de las conferencias y lo demás después, pero primero necesito poner fotos de nuestros misioneros que se fueron y los que llegaron esta semana para que sus padres las vean.

NEW GROUP OF MISSIONARIES ARRIVES NUEVO GRUPO DE MISIONEROS LLEGAN

We received 19 new missionaries this week, 15 of them from the U.S. We picked up five from the airport on Monday evening and fourteen on Tuesday morning. After arriving on Tuesday, they went to the mission home for lunch and an orientation.  Then they went back to the mission office for interviews and attended the temple that evening. The next morning they went to the church for a training meeting and in the afternoon they found out who their new companions/trainers would be and left for their areas.  Below are lots of pictures for the parents! (I forgot to take pictures during our lunch at the mission home unfortunately, but they did eat well:)

Llegaron 19 nuevos misioneros esta semana, 15 de los Estados Unidos.  Recogimos a cinco del aeropuerto el lunes en la noche y catorce el martes por la mañana. Después de llegar el martes, fueron a la casa de misión para almorzar y para una orientación. Después fueron a la oficina de la misión para entrevistas y asistieron al templo esa tarde. La próxima mañana, fueron a la capilla para una capacitación y en la tarde conocieron sus compañeros/entrenadores y fueron a sus áreas. Abajo hay muchas fotos para los padres. (Se me olvidó tomar fotos durante el almuerzo en la casa de misión, pero sí comieron bien:)
