Tuesday and Wednesday we received a new group of fifteen elders. It was quite a challenge this time because we had four coming from the Mexico City MTC, five from the Colombia MTC, four from the Provo MTC, and two more coming who had been temporarily assigned in August to the Denver Colorado South Mission while awaiting their visas. So after the farewell dinner on Monday night, we ran to the airport to await the two missionaries coming from Colorado. We waited and waited and waited for over an hour and a half and they never arrived. We found out the next day that their mission had thought their tickets were for the next day, so when they arrived at the airport, they found out they had missed their flights the day before. Luckily there were seats and they got in Tue. night. Monday morning we met nine at the airport coming from the Mexico and Colombia MTCs. We took them to the mission home and the office elders waited a couple more hours to receive two elder coming from the Provo MTC, then they came to the mission home. We had the luncheon and orientation and they went to the office for interviews and to write home. After President Dennis finished with interviews, the missionaries walked to the temple to stay in the temple housing and we went back to the airport to pick up the two elders from Colorado, who were then taken to the temple. The next morning all the missionaries who had arrived attended a temple session while Pres. Dennis trained their new trainers. After the session, the elders came to the office to meet their new companions and go off to their areas. Pres. Dennis interviewed the two elder who arrived the night before and afterwards we went back to the airport to pick up the last two missionaries arriving from the Provo MTC whose visas had been delayed. They came back to the office for interviews and orientation and then were off with their new companions. Because not everyone made it on Tuesday, we had to postpone our new missionary training until next week. So more pictures will be coming then. We feel bad that four of them didn't get here for the luncheon at the mission home, but we hope to be able to have them come next week before or after the training if everything works out. This is an awesome group and we are so glad to have them here! (translation coming later)
