NUEVOS MISIONEROS LLEGAN A LA MISION NEW MISSIONARIES ARRIVE

Last week a new group of missionaries arrived in our mission.  We are so grateful to have them here with us.  They usually arrive from Bogotá in the morning, but there was a problem with the flight and they didn't arrive until late afternoon.  By the time they waited for their luggage (which didn't come until the next day) and went through immigration, we didn't get back to the mission home until about 6:30 p.m.  So we had a shortened orientation meeting and dinner and they went to stay at the temple housing.  The next day we had our training meeting at the church and then they went to the mission office to get their luggage and go to their sectors. Due to time, only those going out of Guayaquil had their interviews that day. The rest will have them this week. They'll go to the temple with the rest of the mission in June.

La semana pasada un nuevo grupo de misioneros llegaron a nuestra misión. Estamos muy agradecidos tenerlos con nosotros.  Usualmente llegan de Bogotá en la mañana, pero hubo un problema con su vuelo y no llegaron hasta la tarde. Con el tiempo de esperar su equipaje (no llegó hasta el próximo dia) y pasar por imigración, no llegamos a la casa de misión hasta las 6:30 p.m. Así es que tuvimos un corto orientación y cana y después fueron a dormir en el hospedaje del templo. El próximo día tuvimos la capacitación en la capilla y después fueron a la oficina a recoger sus maletas y fueron a sus sectores. Por el tiempo limitado, solamente los que iban fuera de Guayaquil tuvieron sus entrevistas ese día y los demás las tendrán esta semana.  Irán al templo con toda la misión en junio.

It's always sad to say good-bye to our wonderful missionaries.  We love them so much and it's almost like saying good-bye to our own children.  We had twelve more that left or will be leaving soon and we had two farewell dinners this past week for them. Sister Smith's parents came to pick her up and we were able to meet them before the dinner. We will miss our missionaries so much!

Siempre es triste decir adios a nuestros maravillosos misioneros y misioneras. Les queremos mucho y es casi como despedirnos a nuestros propios hijos. Tuvimos doce más que se fueron esta semana o que se van a ir pronto y tuvimos dos cenas de despedida para ellos. Los padres de Hermana Smith vinieron a recogerla y pudimos conocerles antes de la cena.  Vamos a extrañar mucho a nuestros misioneros!
